Circle of Friends has developed strong connections to school and community resources that allow opportunities for children to build personal skills, pursue individual talents and maintain active participation outside of the school day and during summer months. Program fees, along with equipment and supplies necessary for participation, are provided as needed to ensure children have access to the same opportunities as other children in the community.   Mentors accompany, encourage and support their mentee’s involvement in such programs and, where possible, encourage family participation in Circle of Friends activities.

  • Community Partners include:
  • Sisters School District
  • Black Butte School District
  • FAN (Family Access Network)
  • Sisters Folk Festival
  • Sisters Parks and Recreation District
  • Annie Painter’s Art Studio
  • Bald Eagle Music
  • Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch
  • Sisters Athletic Club
  • Westside Church
  • Trinity Episcopal Church
  • Seed to Table (Local Community-based Garden)
  • Caldera Arts
  • Simple ‘n’ Fresh
  • Heartwarmers

Where organized programming is lacking, Circle of Friends seeks to fill gaps by developing needed services internally. One example is the recent addition of a “Healthy Lifestyles” program that includes nutritional, culinary and gardening experience for children in order to enhance physical health.
